PADI Open Water Diver, Chania Crete
What is it?
PADI Open Water Diver in Crete is a program that will lead to your first scuba certification. After completing the program you are considered a certified scuba diver. You will be able to dive with your dive buddies or dive centers around the world at a maximum depth of 18 meters. You can rent equipment and plan dives within the limits of your training.
How long does it take?
PADI Open Water Diver Course can be really flexible. You can study the theory chapters using PADI elearning platform at home and be ready in 2 to 5 days. Then practically the 9 dives needed in order to get certified can happen in 4-5 days with 2 dives per day. Or in 9 days with 1 dive per day. Another plan could be completing the course in 2 weekends. It is good to set a plan in your mind! Obtain your Course pack. Start self study and then arrange your diving plan with us for the dive sessions and knowledge development finalizing.
For Crete visitors we propose to study at home. Then come in Crete for a week and finish the course. Solving theory questions and gaps and conduct 2 dives per day for 5 days in Crete. There must be a 24 hour break before you get back into the airplane so a week is safe and ideal!

What is the cost in euro?
And it includes diving insurance, diving equipment, program training materials, diving center to diving site and back transfers, commemorative photos and of course the taxes.
What else do I need to know?
Bring with you a good mood, swimsuit, towel and dry clothes for after the end of the activity. It is also good to inform us about your height, body weight and your shoe size. From our side, you should be aware that before any activity in the water we will ask you to fill in a medical questionnaire that you can download here. If the answer to a question is YES then before any activity in the water we will need a doctor’s approval. Also we will need you to read and sign a Statement of Risk and Liability/ Non-agency Acknowledgment Form found here and a PADI Scuba Diver Statement found here!
